El Lugar in Tyler

El Lugar was one of those little out of the way places that everybody knew about. I believe now they have 3 locations in Tyler with 2 just opening recently, one just off Troup highway and Loop 323, on East 5th street just inside Loop 323 and the original location on East Gentry Parkway. I have been to two of the three and I thought the food was great. My favorite is a #7 which includes your choice of meat with avacado and even jalapeno's if you like it spicy. If you go during the lunch rush be ready for a little wait but it is well worth it. I have been there in the middle of the afternoon with the line of people out the door. Their menu is simple but the food is outstanding. I would definitely recommend it to anyone that likes real authentic mexican food.

This one has the best mexican food period. If you want beans and rice then go somewhere else. They have the authentic mexican tacos and that is good enough for me.
